What prints does TIDI® Products offer?
TIDI® Products stock prints include Pastel Vines, Watercolors, Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat and Horton, Bugs & Things, Under the Sea, Schooltime, Raining Cats & Dogs, Pediatric Combo (numbers, letters and shapes), TIDI TOES® and TIDI TOOTH®. Our prints are available across a variety of product lines, including exam table paper, towels, bibs, drapes, capes and gowns.

Do your products contain latex?
All of our products are latex-free unless otherwise noted.

What is the mil thickness on your poly products?
Mil thickness will depend on the product. Our standard mil thickness for PE poly is .4, .75, 1.0 and 1.5. The mil thickness for our bibs is 1.4. The mil thickness for our lightweight aprons is 1.0, regular weight aprons is 1.25 and heavyweight aprons is 1.75.

What does ply refer to?
Ply refers to the number of layers of material that are combined to construct the final product.

Which side opens on a headrest cover?
The headrest cover opens along the width of the cover, with the paper on the outside.

What is FABRICEL® material?
FABRICEL® is a premium trademarked material constructed of tissue and poly laminated together to provide a soft-to-the-touch feel while retaining durability.

What pound paper is used for table paper?
The pound paper used to manufacture our table paper is dependent on the brand of product selected. As an example, ENCORE table paper uses 14lb paper for both smooth and crepe. TIDI® PREMIUM table paper uses 16lb for smooth, while the crepe version is constructed with 17lb paper.

Can I get photos of your product for use in my own catalog or to put on my Web site?
Yes, TIDI® Products can provide product photos of anything that is shown on our Web site. Please let your TIDI® Products customer service representative or sales representative know which photos you would like, as well as the format you need. You must specify the computer platform that you work on (Macintosh or PC), as well as the file format (JPG, TIFF, EPS, etc.)

Where can I purchase your products?

What is the weight in grams of your cotton balls?
Medium weight is 0.235 to 0.315 grams. Large cotton balls are 0.9 to 1.2 grams. X-Large are 2.2 to 3.0 grams.

Do you use Chevron packaging or straight seal packaging on gauze items that are packaged as sterile 1’s and sterile 2’s?
We use Chevron packaging on sterile 2's, straight seal on sterile 1's. Chevron packaging allows the end user to open the package and empty the contents without touching it, in order to preserve sterility. The straight seal is a tear-open package.

When you sterilize your gauze products, what method of sterilization do you use?
We use gamma (radiation) and steam sterilization on these products to ensure sterility. Both are accepted throughout the industry.

What is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is defined by OSHA as “specialized clothing or equipment, worn by an employee for protection against infectious materials”.

Why PPE?
PPE is more important that ever as infections have become more common in the healthcare setting. As much as 10% of patients visiting a hospital come into contact with infections*, hospital-contracted infectious is the fourth largest killer in America*, and more than $30.5 billion was spent last year to treat hospital incurred infections*.

Can P2® gloves be used for chemotherapy?
P2® HiRisk™ latex and nitrile gloves have been tested up to the most current ASTM test standard (ASTM 6978-05) when using chemotherapy drugs. Test results are listed on the box or available upon request.

Why should I choose P2® gowns?
P2® offers three different gowns to suit all different levels of protection. Our HiRisk™ Polyethylene gown provides a very high level of protection and passes both ASTM F 1670 and ASTM F 1671. Our SafetyPlus™ Poly Coated and SMS gowns are great for situations where healthcare workers expect either a light or moderate threat to contact with infectious materials. SafetyPlus™ gown are also breathable and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, while still providing protection.

Why should I choose P2 gloves?
P2® gloves are great for many settings that require a high level of protection. Some of the features that P2® gloves have to offer are 12 inches long of protection, chemotherapy tested up to the most current ASTM testing, UL classified as meeting NFPA requirements, fitted and ambidextrous, latex and nitrile material, beaded cuff, and much more.

Why should I choose P2® cabinets and stations?
P2® cabinets and stations were developed to provide point-of-use access to PPE to comply with OSHA guidelines for hospital preparedness. They also assist a facility in complying with JCAHO, DOH, and Fire Safety requirements by eliminating the need for carts. Our P2® cabinets and stations are wall, door, and glass mountable.

Why would a barrier be needed for a blood pressure cuff?
Blood pressure cuffs are a potential vehicle for transmission of infection between patients. A September 2006 study showed that 77% of blood pressure cuffs that are rolled on trolleys from room to room were contaminated. 83% of blood pressure cuffs in intensive care units were contaminated.

What is the difference between crepe and smooth table paper?
Crepe table paper is a softer, quieter and more comfortable while the smooth table paper tends to be more fluid repellent. The choice between crepe and smooth is usually made based on provider preference.

What is the difference between the Everyday and Choice table papers?
The Everyday table papers will provide the most economical solution for infection barrier protection. The Choice table papers are a slightly thicker paper for improved durability.

Does TIDI offer gowns for bariatric patients?
Yes. TIDI offers plus sized gowns from XL to 5XL to provide ample coverage and modesty for bariatric patients.

Are your P2® HiRisk gloves chemotherapy tested?
Yes, they are tested using the ASTM D6978-05, the most current and comprehensive chemotherapy glove testing available. The test results are indicated on the product packaging, and can be obtained by calling TIDI Products.
