Soft Limb Holders (D-Ring for Cuff Closure)

Posey® Soft Limb Holders, also known as Soft Limb Restraints, are designed to limit the movement of wrists and/or ankles in patients assessed to be at risk of disrupting life-saving treatment, pulling lines/tubes, exacerbating skin conditions, compromising wound site integrity, or self-injury. They are primarily used in medical (NVNSD) treatments.†
 
Each Soft Limb Holder on this page has a patient cuff that uses either a standard or cinch-style D-ring.

Both Soft Limb Holders on this page are anchored to a bed/stretcher via tie:

  • Compatibility with a broad range of beds/stretchers

Both Soft Limb Holders on this page have a foam patient cuff:

  • 13” cuff circumference accommodates a wide range of patient ages and sizes
  • Can be used on wrist or ankle

Foam cuff with standard D-ring plus anchoring via tie:

  • Standard metal D-ring allows you to use a single strap to secure the cuff on the patient and the same strap to anchor the restraint system to a bed/stretcher
  • Single strap for simple application and adjustment

Foam cuff with cinch-style D-ring plus anchoring via tie:

  • Cinch-style metal D-ring allows you to use one strap to secure the cuff on the patient and a second strap to anchor the restraint system to a bed/stretcher; comprises one ring with sliding metal buckle to secure strap
  • Double strap allows you to decrease patient movement by attaching two straps at different anchor points on a bed/stretcher (i.e., triangulation) or enhance security by attaching two straps at the same anchor point on a bed/stretcher
