Why the Posey SureHold Restraint and why now?
TIDI recognized the opportunity for innovation in the restraint category. To better understand the challenges caregivers face, we surveyed nurses with 5 or more years of experience, carefully listening to their concerns with existing restraints. Among them were limb holders that slip, loosen, or allow for self-release. Nurses also mentioned the need for fast and intuitive application to both their patients and the bed, as well as the necessity to keep their patients comfortable while assuring the restraint can be easily and quickly removed in case of an emergency. Based on their feedback, we developed SureHold.

The SureHold buckle is a first of its kind feature for soft limb holders. SureHold has a free floating buckle design along the strap which allows caregivers to set their patient’s range of movement as needed while providing a secure connection to the position caregivers set on the bed.
